Rasm collects nothing. There is no account, no server, and no network request of any kind.
This is not a summary with exceptions further down. It is the whole of it, and the rest of this page only explains what it means in practice.
Every answer you give is written to a database on your own device: which shape you were shown, what you picked, how long you took, and when. That history is what decides when a shape comes back — it is the app working, not the app watching.
It is held in the app’s private storage, readable only by this app, and it is included in an encrypted device backup if you choose to make one. It is never transmitted.
The claim is checked by the build rather than simply promised. A test in the source fails the whole test suite if any shipped file contains a network call, an http URL, a push-token request, or a dependency from a list of known analytics and crash-reporting libraries.
If the promise ever stops being true, the build stops passing. Making it untrue would take a deliberate edit to the test that forbids it.
None receive data, because none is sent anywhere.
The app is built with open-source libraries that run entirely on your device. Apple operates the App Store and collects its own data about downloads under its own privacy policy; Rasm neither receives nor requests any of it.
This website loads no third-party resources at all — not even a webfont. The typeface is served from this domain, because fetching it elsewhere would send your address to somebody else on the page telling you nothing is sent anywhere.
The app collects nothing from anyone, of any age.
Rasm is free. No purchases, no subscription, no advertising and no paid tier, now or later. Arabic script should not be behind a paywall.
Delete the app. That deletes all of it, because there is no copy anywhere else.
The honest consequence: if you lose your device you lose your progress. Optional iCloud sync is on the roadmap; it would store data in your iCloud account rather than on any server of ours, and it would stay optional.
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top changes with it. A change that made any of the above untrue would be a change to the product, not to the wording, and would be described plainly rather than adjusted quietly.
